Dr Elaine Ingham at Oxford Real Farming Conference

Below is a really good talk from Dr Elaine Ingham (renowned soil ecologist / microbiologist and CEO of SoilFoodWeb inc) at the Oxford Real Farming conference in 2015.

As someone who has studied under Dr Ingham, I urge you to take the time to listen to what she has to say as it's not only eye opening and highly relevant to anyone with an interest in science, growing plants, agriculture or sustainable food systems - but she's also a great speaker and quite entertaining.

This particular talk was really good and I gather she managed to raise a few eyebrows with more than a few of the organic farmers present!

No need to rotate crops!? All fertiliser is a waste of money!? Soil pH is (largely) a meaningless measure!? It must be the end of days!.. ;)

Have a watch and enjoy. It's not short, but it's jam-packed with loads of great information.
Dr Ingham is an American microbiologist and soil biology researcher and founder of Soil Foodweb Inc. She is known as a leader in soil microbiology and research of the soil food web.

A really good interview with world famous author and professor Michael Pollan on how we talk about climate change, agriculture and food - but also how to simplify the solutions.
