Æ : Action Ecology

Action Ecology uses proven ecological & biological know-how to offer a range of bespoke, science-based services to land owners looking to improve: productivity, resource efficiency, resilience and ecological function across a wide range of sizes, uses and climates.

What we're about

Action Ecology provides services relating to regenerative land use design and advice. The focus is to connect people with the right knowledge - helping them improve landscape function, ecological health and resilience. We achieve this using a suite of methodologies, strategies and techniques that are effective: informed by the latest research across a range of scientific fields, and proven on the ground all around the world. We try and learn from the best - across wide range of disciplines - building connections so that we can share that and channel new ideas and approaches to where they are most needed.

Our aim is to help our clients achieve their goals in the most cost and resource efficient way possible while both minimising their impact on the environment and ensuring that the productivity and resilience of their land is at a point where it can be sustained well into the future.

We sell no products, and endorse no 'one way' to achieve all goals. We judge each brief on its own merits, and recognise its unique context, working in partnership with clients to help move them towards their goals in a way that is strategic, pragmatic and incremental. At the core of what we do is the belief that through better understanding of natural ecological processes we improve our ability to work with - rather than against - nature, which in turn provides us with an opportunity to improve natural biological productivity and resilience, while at the same time reducing waste, effort and cost (to both our livelihoods and of course the environment - upon which ultimately those livelihoods depend).

The healthier, and more resilient to climate volatility our land use becomes, the better our productivity, the more efficient our energy and resource use - and the more money and time we have to spend on life, family and the things that really matter.

If you would like to know more about what we do and how we approach our work, then please feel free to get in contact with us - we'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
